new ant species.

About the Ant species:

  • Belonging to the rare genus ParaParatrechina, the blue-coloured insect has been named Paraparatrechina neela.
  • Features:

    • Small ant with a total length of less than 2mm.

  • Siang Valley is part of the Siang District, which was created in 2015 by carving it out of the West Siang and East Siang districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
