 Javelin Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM)

  • It is a premier shoulder-fired anti-armor system used worldwide.
  • Automatically guides itself to the target post-launch, allowing the operator to take cover and avoid retaliation.
  • Operators can quickly reposition or reload after firing to engage multiple threats.
  • Uses an arched top-attack trajectory for better visibility and targets the weakest points of armoured vehicles.
  • Engine: Solid-fuel rocket
  • Equipped with a single 8.4 kg tandem-charge, high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead
  • Range: Maximum range of 2,500 metres
  • Utilising “fire-and-forget” technology with automatic infrared guidance.
